Molly Tea Chicago menu and current prices
Chicago has its own live menu, so chain-wide prices are less useful here than the store’s current ordering data.
The table below compares the Chicago Chowbus pickup price with the current DoorDash price for the same drink.
| Drink | Chowbus pickup | DoorDash |
|---|---|---|
| Premium Jasmine Citrus | $5.99+ | $6.99 |
| Gardenia Milk Tea | $6.59+ | $7.59 |
| Premium Jasmine Milk Tea | $6.99+ | $7.99 |
| White Champaca Milk Tea | $6.99+ | $7.99 |
| Premium Jasmine Grape Milk Tea | $6.99+ | $7.99 |
| Jasmine Mango Smoothie | $6.99+ | $7.99 |
| Matcha White Champaca Salted Cheese | $7.49+ | $8.49 |
| Premium Jasmine Grape Salted Cheese | $7.49+ | $8.49 |
| Snowy Jasmine | $7.99+ | $8.99 |
| Pistachio Jasmine Coconut | $7.99+ | $8.99 |
| Velvety Matcha Supreme — Medium | $8.49+ | $9.49 |
The pattern is unusually clean: many Chicago drinks are currently $1 higher on DoorDash than on Chowbus pickup. DoorDash also states that merchant-set delivery prices may be higher than in-store prices.
That makes Chowbus the better price reference when you want to know what the drink itself costs rather than what a delivered order costs after platform pricing and fees.
The cheapest drinks
The two plain brewed teas are currently:
- Premium Jasmine Tea — $4.59+
- Gardenia Tea — $4.59+
Both are listed without milk on the Chicago Chowbus menu.
For milk tea, Gardenia Milk Tea starts at $6.59, while Premium Jasmine, White Champaca and several oolong-based milk teas start around $6.99.
Chicago topping prices
Current add-ons include:
| Topping | Price |
|---|---|
| Pecan | $0.99 |
| Brown Sugar Boba Pearl | $0.99 |
| Sago | $0.99 |
| White Boba Pearl | $1.29 |
| Matcha Cheese | $2.99 |
| Hazelnut Cheese | $2.99 |
| Jasmine Whipped Cream with Pecan | $3.49 |
| Pistachio Cheese | $3.99 |
A Molly Tea drink does not automatically come with tapioca pearls simply because the store is described as a boba shop. Boba is an add-on for most drinks; the Tongmu Lapsang Bubble Tea is one of the menu items that actually builds brown-sugar boba into the drink.
Chicago still has a full oat-milk section
This is one of the most useful differences between the Chicago store and Molly Tea’s broader US menu. The current Wentworth Avenue ordering menu still carries an Oat Milk Tea section with drinks including:
- Premium Jasmine Oat Milk Tea — $7.99+
- White Champaca Oat Milk Tea — $7.99+
- White Champaca Oolong Oat Milk Tea — $7.99+
- Gardenia Oat Milk Tea — $7.59+
- Gardenia Oolong Oat Milk Tea — $7.79+
- Peach Oolong Oat Milk Tea — $7.59+
- Tongmu Lapsang Oat Milk Tea — $7.99+
- DanCong Oolong Oat Milk Tea — $7.99+
That is notable because Molly Tea’s national US menu has reduced the oat-milk series elsewhere. We documented that change separately in our Molly Tea oat-milk menu update.
For Chicago, the local menu is the stronger source: the Wentworth Avenue store currently lists a much broader oat-milk range than the US brand menu suggests.
Do not treat every oat-milk drink as automatically vegan or allergen-safe. Molly Tea’s Chicago ordering page warns that drinks may contain dairy, lactose, nuts, mango and other allergens, and some toppings use cheese or whipped cream.
What people are actually ordering in Chicago
The local DoorDash page has more than 1,000 ratings and currently carries a 4.9/5 platform rating. Premium Jasmine Milk Tea remains one of the highest-engagement items, but Chicago order history points to several drinks beyond the basic jasmine line.
Premium Jasmine Milk Tea
$6.99+ pickup / $7.99 DoorDash
This is still the safest first order if you came specifically for Molly Tea’s floral style. The Chicago recipe lists double-petal jasmine from Hengzhou scented into high-mountain tea before milk is added.
Matcha White Champaca Salted Cheese
$7.49+ pickup / $8.49 DoorDash
This has repeatedly appeared among the Chicago store’s most-liked DoorDash items. It pairs white champaca green tea with matcha and salted cheese rather than serving a plain milk-heavy matcha latte.
Peach Oolong Milk Tea
$6.59+ pickup
The tea base is aged Tieguanyin from Anxi, Fujian, paired with peach and milk. A verified Chicago DoorDash purchaser specifically praised the balance between the tea and peach rather than describing it as a syrup-led fruit drink.
Tongmu Lapsang Bubble Tea
$7.49+ pickup / $8.49 DoorDash
This is the better choice if you came searching for actual brown-sugar boba. It uses Tongmuguan black tea, milk, brown-sugar pearls, hazelnut cheese and cocoa powder. The Chicago menu marks it as containing nuts.
Snowy Jasmine
$7.99+ pickup / $8.99 DoorDash
The base is Premium Jasmine Milk Tea, then jasmine-infused whipped cream and crushed pecans are added. Anyone with a nut allergy should skip this drink unless store staff can confirm a suitable alternative.
The Chicago store opened into one of the city’s densest boba districts
Molly Tea opened on Wentworth Avenue on January 17, 2025.
Block Club Chicago reported the opening as the chain’s first Midwest location and described Molly Tea as the first mainland-Chinese milk-tea brand to open a Chicago branch.
At the time, Block Club counted 13 competing boba shops in Chinatown.
That number should no longer be presented as the current Chinatown total.
On September 3, 2026, WTTW reported more than 25 bubble-tea shops across Chinatown, with more than 15 in Chinatown Square alone.
That means the local tea market roughly doubled in scale from the figure reported around Molly Tea’s opening.
The neighborhood split matters too. Molly Tea is not in Chinatown Square. Its address places it on the southern Wentworth Avenue section that WTTW describes as Old Chinatown, running between Cermak Road and 24th Street.
Why the Wentworth Avenue location matters
Old Chinatown has traditionally had a different commercial mix from Chinatown Square, with more long-running Cantonese restaurants and family-run businesses along Wentworth.
New international chains have moved into this stretch in greater numbers since the pandemic. Molly Tea became one of the clearest examples.
WTTW reported in September 2026 that visitors now come to Wentworth specifically for milk tea. The same reporting notes that the added traffic brings customers into the area while also increasing pressure on smaller local businesses.
Molly Tea’s own launch showed how strong that pull could be. The opening promotion included buy-one-get-one floral milk teas, merchandise and giveaways, and WTTW later reported that the line stretched down the block.
A year later, Taiwanese chain CHICHA San Chen used a similar grand-opening promotion in Chinatown Square.
For someone choosing between the two parts of Chinatown, that gives Molly Tea a simple geographic identity: Wentworth Avenue and Old Chinatown, rather than the tea-heavy concentration inside Chinatown Square.
Getting to Molly Tea Chicago
The store is on South Wentworth Avenue, just south of the Cermak corridor. The Cermak-Chinatown CTA Red Line station is the closest rail stop, placing the shop within the core Chinatown transit area. The Wentworth/Cermak intersection is also served by CTA bus connections. If you are arriving near closing time, check the ordering cutoff separately from the store’s door hours:
- Store: 11 AM–10 PM
- Chowbus pickup orders: until 9:45 PM
- DoorDash menu: until about 9:25 PM
We did not find reliable store-issued parking instructions for this address, so there is no reason to promise dedicated parking or a specific parking strategy.
Ordering Molly Tea Chicago online
For the most useful price comparison, separate pickup pricing from delivery pricing.
Chowbus carries the Wentworth Avenue pickup menu and currently shows the lower base prices used throughout this page.
DoorDash handles delivery and pickup as well, but many drinks currently cost $1 more there. The service explicitly notes that its menu prices may be higher than in-store.
If cost matters, check Chowbus before placing a delivery order. If you are ordering after 9:25 PM, DoorDash may already be closed for orders even though the shop itself remains open.
