Molly Tea Opening New Williamsburg & Union Square Stores

Molly Tea is expanding its presence in New York City with two new locations planned for Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and the Union Square area of Manhattan.

The latest expansion includes a newly signed retail lease at 193 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg, while another Molly Tea shop is being prepared at 862 Broadway near Union Square. The Williamsburg deal was reported on September 30, 2026, giving New York tea fans two new locations to watch as the floral tea brand continues growing in the U.S.

Molly Tea Is Coming to Williamsburg

Molly Tea has signed a 10-year lease for 1,350 square feet at 193 Bedford Avenue, according to New York Real Estate Journal.

The space includes approximately 850 square feet on the ground floor and 500 square feet on the lower level. The Williamsburg store is expected to open in fall 2026, although an exact grand opening date has not yet been announced.

Bedford Avenue is one of Williamsburg’s best-known shopping areas, and the new Molly Tea location will be close to the Bedford Avenue L subway station. Lee & Associates NYC, which arranged the lease for the landlord, said the location offers the visibility and steady pedestrian traffic Molly Tea was seeking as it expands in New York.

The store will also be located next to the newly opened Williamsburg flagship of Kiehl’s.

A Second Molly Tea Is Planned Near Union Square

Williamsburg is not the only new location in the works.

Molly Tea is also preparing to open at 862 Broadway, near Union Square in Manhattan. New York Business Journal reported the Broadway location alongside the Williamsburg expansion on September 30.

A precise opening date for the Union Square shop has not been publicly confirmed in the available announcements.

Together, the two locations show that Molly Tea is continuing to invest in the New York market rather than relying on a single neighborhood or retail district.

What to Expect From the New Stores

Molly Tea was founded in Shenzhen, China and focuses heavily on floral-style Chinese teas, particularly drinks built around jasmine and other flower and fruit aromas.

Its official U.S. website says the company has grown to more than 2,000 stores worldwide, based on data through November 2025. The U.S. menu currently features drinks such as Premium Jasmine Milk Tea, Osmanthus Milk Tea, White Champaca Milk Tea and several matcha, fruit tea and whipped-cream options.

Because individual store menus and availability can change, customers should wait for the official opening details before assuming every U.S. menu item will be offered at the Williamsburg and Union Square locations.

Molly Tea Continues Its U.S. Expansion

The New York openings are part of Molly Tea’s wider international growth. The company’s official site describes the brand as originating in Shenzhen and building its identity around floral-scented Chinese tea and what it calls an “Eastern Modern” approach to tea culture.

The September announcement also notes that Molly Tea operates locations in Jersey City and Edison, New Jersey, giving the brand an existing presence in the wider New York metropolitan area.

For now, the biggest confirmed development is Williamsburg: a long-term Bedford Avenue lease and an expected fall 2026 opening. The Union Square location at 862 Broadway is also in preparation, but its opening timetable has not yet been publicly detailed.

Customers planning to visit either new Molly Tea location should watch for official store announcements before making a trip.
