Molly Tea Launches Beer Tea Drinks With Budweiser and Tomorrowland
Molly Tea is adding beer to its menu. The jasmine tea chain has teamed up with Budweiser’s Black Gold line and the electronic music festival Tomorrowland on two low-alcohol “beer tea” drinks, launching October 15, 2026, at 10 a.m. in five cities in China.
The drinks contain just 1.1% to 1.2% alcohol, far lighter than a regular beer, and are built around fruit, herbs and Molly Tea’s signature floral finish.
Why This Matters
This is one of Molly Tea’s boldest menu moves yet. A tea brand known for jasmine milk tea and whipped cream is now pairing with one of the world’s best-known beer brands and one of the biggest music festivals. It also shows where Chinese tea chains are heading: beyond tea, into coffee, cocktails and lifestyle drinks aimed at young adults.
The Two New Drinks
Black Gold Beer with Tree Tomato
Tree tomato, also known as tamarillo, is a tangy, slightly sweet fruit popular in parts of Asia and South America. According to the launch details, the drink opens with tart tamarillo and apricot-like sweetness, moves into malty beer, picks up rosemary and pine notes, and ends on floral tea.
Black Gold Beer with Green Apple
This one starts with crisp, slightly sour green apple, then adds lemongrass and basil before the malty beer comes through. It finishes with Molly Tea’s jasmine note.
Both drinks are designed to be fruit-forward, with the beer as a background layer rather than the main taste.

How Strong Is 1.1% Alcohol?
Very light. Most regular beers are around 4% to 5% ABV, so these drinks have roughly a quarter of the alcohol of a standard beer. Molly Tea is pitching them as a “light buzz” option, not a strong drink.
They are still alcoholic drinks. In China, selling alcohol to anyone under 18 is not allowed. Molly Tea hasn’t said how stores will check ages, so expect to be asked for ID if you look young.
Is the Budweiser Collab Coming to the US, Singapore or UK?
Not as far as anyone has announced. The launch covers five cities in mainland China only. There’s been no word about Molly Tea’s US, Singapore, UK, Canada or Australia stores.
Selling alcohol outside China would also need separate licenses in each country, which most Molly Tea stores don’t currently have. So don’t expect to see these drinks at your local Molly Tea anytime soon. We’ll update this page if that changes.
Molly Tea’s Push Beyond Tea
This isn’t Molly Tea’s first step outside traditional tea drinks:
- Coffee: In April 2026, Molly Tea launched coffee drinks at its stores across China, including an apple latte made with Honduran Arabica beans.
- Seasonal produce: Over China’s Mid-Autumn and National Day holidays this month, its persimmon fruit-and-vegetable milk series drew attention on social media, along with cultural pop-ups in 10 cities.
- Beer: Now, the Budweiser and Tomorrowland collaboration brings alcohol into the mix for the first time.
It’s a busy year for the brand. Molly Tea is still fighting a trademark case with Louis Vuitton in China, while also opening new stores across the US.
What We Still Don’t Know
- Price of each drink
- How long the collab will run
- Whether there’s collab merchandise, like Tomorrowland-themed cups or bags
- Whether more cities will get the drinks later
We’ll update this article once Molly Tea shares more.
